Frequently asked questions
Buying, receiving, installing. If your question isn't here, it belongs at apps@odooskills.com.
Buying
Do I need to create an account ?
Yes. The right to download a paid module is attached to the customer of the order: without an account, a purchase could not be linked to you and you would leave with nothing. The account is created during payment, in two fields.
What payment methods ?
Credit card and PayPal. Card data is entered on the payment provider's end: it never passes through this site.
In which currency ?
In US dollars. The price shown on the listing is the amount invoiced. Your bank may apply its own conversion.
Do I get an invoice ?
Yes, issued automatically when the order is confirmed and available in your customer area.
Receiving
When do I receive the module ?
Immediately. As soon as the order is confirmed, the module's listing switches from "Buy" to "Download", and a confirmation email points you back to your apps.
Where can I find my purchases later ?
In your customer area: every module purchased appears there with every Odoo version for which an archive exists. A purchase is never lost.
In what form ?
A .zip archive containing the module folder, ready to
drop into your installation.
Installing
How do I install a module ?
- Unzip the archive into a folder declared in
addons_path. - Restart the Odoo service.
- Enable developer mode, then Apps → Update Apps List.
- Search for the module by its name and install it.
What about dependencies ?
Each module's listing shows what it requires. The store modules it depends on are clickable there.
Odoo versions
Which versions are covered ?
It depends on the module: its listing shows the versions for which an archive exists, and the catalog lets you filter on them.
What about Odoo 20 ?
Odoo 20 is out, and our modules are being ported to it one by one. It already appears in the selector ; each 20.0 archive shows up on its listing as soon as it is ready.
What about Odoo 15 and 16 ?
They are served on request. Tell us which module you need through the request form, and we will tell you what is possible.
Does a 19.0 module work on an 18.0 database ?
No. Every major Odoo version changes its interface and its conventions: you need the archive for your version. If it doesn't exist yet, the listing offers the most recent one available and says so.
After the purchase
The module won't install, or misbehaves.
Write to apps@odooskills.com with your Odoo version, the module's name and the full error message. It's the same inbox for the whole store.
Under what license ?
The license is shown on the module's listing and in its archive: free modules are under an open-source license, paid modules under a proprietary Odoo license.
Updates and refunds ?
Both points are set by the terms of sale, which will be published and presented at payment before sales open.
The module I need doesn't exist.
Describe it: the Request a module form opens a tracked request, budget and version included.
